It's been a year and a half that I've had my MedSlant. I just want to update you on my progress. After I got my reflux cleared up I have had no recurring problems and I know it is because of the wonderful MedSlant pillow. I no longer take PPI pills - I do drink 2 oz of Aloe Vera juice before I go to bed but that's it. I take my MedSlant everywhere I go if I am spending the night. Absolutely cannot sleep without it. My druggist was telling me she had to go to the hospital with what she thought was a heart attack - turned out to be reflux. First, thank you for having your product on the market. I have suffered with GERD for a few years, and in the past couple of years it has gotten much worse due to stress and not eating right or exercising. People said they could hear gurgling on the phone - it was the acid in my throat. It changed my voice, and has interrupted my sleep and overall well being. I've made changes to my diet and exercise more as I'm about 20 lbs overweight. This helped. My doctor prescribed two of the usual prescription drugs but I was frightened by the long term effects I kept reading about - plus, they just didn't work for me. I got my pillow and I love it! I have slept like a baby every night since and it's great for watching TV/reading on the couch or in bed. I have been using your MedSlant pillow for several months for gastroesophageal reflux. My main problem was coughing at night which was not relieved by taking acid inhibitors. The day I came across your web site was a blessed day for my husband. I ordered the MedSlant pillow that same day and it arrived promptly three days later. For the first time in years my husband had a snore less night, breathed better through his nose, and experienced no acid reflux. I received my three MedSlant pillows last week and we love them. I am ordering another one for my son. They work very well and are extremely comfortable. My daughter and I suffer from GERD and this is far better than using several pillows or other wedges. This is the only wedge I have used which is long enough. All others are too short. I have had GERD for many years that has progressed into Barrett's Esophagus. I have posted a recommendation for your bed wedge on the Johns Hopkins Barrett's Esophagus Discussion Board. I originally purchased the MedSlant pillow for my husband who has problems with congestion, snoring and great discomfort with breathing at night. It made a difference the first time he used it. I wanted to write you a note to say thank you. I have lived with sleep apnea for several years now and have tried many remedies to correct my problem. Working closely with doctors, I thought my last resort would be surgery only to find out that IÕm not a good candidate for the operation. Through x-rays I found that the air flow problems that the surgical procedure corrects were not an issue for me. I felt like my last option towards better health and a good nightÕs sleep was gone. Concerned with the long term health issues that relate to sleep apnea, I took a chance and invested into your Medslant pillow. After spending literally thousands of dollars on CPAP machines and custom dental mouth pieces I was hesitant to spend more money on a pillow.
